I honestly don't see how that could be the case. "X is just as bad as Y!" only excuses X if Y is already excusable. Are you saying that manifest destiny was somehow defensible as a moral act?

It’s only excusing it if you support manifest destiny.

And yet its still an accurate description of how grand narratives about destiny and rightful ownership are used to justify the brutal killings of others.
