They are putting AI in robots so this is on the roadmap. I can totally see them replacing construction workers, like in the Animatrix film.

Imagine seeing the Benz Patent-Motorwagen and telling people society is going to run on these things, People won't need horses and people will be riding them casually at 100+km/h anywhere and everywhere they want to go. I'm sure most at that time would think these statements were foolish.

IDK there's that giant concrete printer thing. Basically prints houses out of concrete, much like a 3d printer, in a matter of weeks. Stuff like that will become more common.
