The people who went all-in a few years ago on shaming others for not returning their carts to the cart corral will have a problem with this.

Nah. This is the least that the bastards deserve.
When it's so a corporation saves money: "The wind! The wind will blow the cart into cars! Wiiiiiiiiiiiind!"
I don't know if/how you've never seen wind catch a shopping cart, but it can hurtle those fucking things. Mercifully the hurtling tends to be worst with the plastic ones because there's more surface area, but I've seen one of those smack a car head-on at like 25 kph on flat terrain on a breezy day.
You can go look up videos of even pretty modest winds gently pushing metal shopping carts around; they look like they're possessed.
Even on flat lots on windless days, you're not sticking it to the man; you're just being a jackass making someone's already insufferable retail job even less sufferable over 10 seconds of returning a cart.
"The store just puts those trash cans there to save money on cleanup and liability." Yeah, no shit.

I always park in the "Online Pickup" or "Coffee Customer" or "Uber Eats" spots.
Fuck you. I'm spending money at your store.
I remember one parking lot had a parking lot Nazi. When I parked in one of the Uber Eats spots he came up and said "I don't see any sticker indicating you work for one of the pickup apps. I said I didn't. He said I had to move. I said "Let's see if you can get a tow truck here before I get back out and leave" and walked inside. Got in and out quick and left. No tow truck in sight.

Is it that hard to wrap your smooth brain around a pretty believable scenario? I'm sure a lot of people have done what I did to parking Nazis. You just don't go outside, so you wouldn't know.
Not that I give a fuck whether some kid living in their parent's house believes me, but it definitely happened. Maybe you're just such a subservient pussy who can't fathom standing up to someone.
