The fuck?! It never occurred to me to even question if that was a person. I "knew" that it was one of those rubber face, metal skull, "realistic" androids with "expressive" capabilities.
JFC how can you see people like this and think "not evil at all. In fact, clearly the most worthy of all money and power and praise and god's grace"!?!
they completely lack empathy and are completely detached from humanity and reality.
wonder if that is why they do their make up/plastic surgery to look less human, and more like a doll.
They hate all things human because they know themselves as irredeemable.
I think deep inside they rightfully see themselves as disgusting, and because we see others as modified versions of ourselves, they see others as disgusting like them. So the only solution is a completely fake presentation that doesn't even look human, but humanish.

Really makes me wonder if the men they are trying to impress even like that look or just pretend to and laugh that they actually did it behind closed doors. And don't care one way or another because they were already getting their sexual desires met by others.
Oh, it just occurred to me that it might even be a "I don't really want you anymore but I don't want anyone else to want you to give you other options, so I'll pretend like getting that work done will make me attracted to you again and then laugh when you realize all you did was ruin your face for everyone."
I'm not an anthropology, but I think it's more likely one if those "beauty and aesthetics are cultural", if you have a group of isolated people they'll develop their own aesthetics.

TITL (Today I Tangentially Learned) - Kyle Reese was absolutely dog shit at his ONE JOB.
While this may be a post hoc explanation the Arnie Terminator variant was one of many variants, Skynet basically had an infiltrator with basically any race, ethnicity, build, or sex. Though I believe the Arnie variant was simply the most common/ oldest version that Skynet had, which mind you still makes Kyle Reese a dumbass but it does make it slightly more forgivable.
Also who knows if he ever encountered an Arnie Terminator before what with the timelines slowly getting increasingly fucked in each subsequent loop, plus who knows what he knew of the old world since the dude was a soldier in a post apocalyptic conflict who may have been a kid or even unborn when the nukes went flying. For all he knows weird Arnie looking dudes being sus was normal.
The one who attacked the humans in the future (when the picture of Sarah gets burned) was a totally different look than Arnold, right?

Scrolled by quickly, didn't notice it was a robot. Obviously noticeable after giving it a 1 second look. But kinda scary.
Edit: apparently it's not a robot....? That's even more frightening. Although I looked up other pictures from that press conference? And she looks human in them.
I'd still believe the picture here was a robot if I didn't know any better. Thanks for pointing it out whoever did and others who posted the article.
