If he said he was in Kentucky, then Kentucky authorities can (and should) dona wellness check.
If he said he was in DC, then Kentucky would have to request DC authorities do it.

Yep, I already said Kentucky can request it, but DC could do it unprompted and justify it due to him being a Senator.
Normally authorities would go years before getting pro-active. It's only after a family member or employer reports they stopped hearing from them.
Republicans have the Senate, his family is in on it...
So the only avenue is Kentucky asking about their representative really.
In true mcturtle fashion, it's exploiting a lot of grey areas and norms.

I totally understand the frustration, but my understanding is that there is really nothing he can legally do about it. What exactly do you think he should be doing that he isn't? If there is something that he's legitimately not doing I'd like to know about it.
But how can he work from home, if congress forced a new mother to fly from Colorado to DC just to vote because no more congressional remote work? Flip-flopping scam weasels.

Lol at this thread ripping on Andy Beshear for not "doing something!" while totally excluding the actual fucking culprit AND his enablers from the entire conversation.
Also lol at all the people who, when directly asked, "What do you think the governor of Kentucky can do that he isn't already doing?" either fall silent, or instantly refer to the extensive law libraries they keep in their prison wallets to extract answers not found in reality.
So many people trying so, so hard to indict the only official actually doing what they can within the law -- while giving the actual miscreant a complete pass. Stop missing stair around this dead or dying motherfucker already, jesus. Do you think he's going to come get you like the ghoul he is?
Or to put it another way, Mitch McConnell, who is the actual individual deserving of your ire (remember this point) is physically in DC. DC is where he collapsed and was hospitalized, and just a couple days ago there was a video of a DC power broker coming out of McConnell's DC townhouse. It is safe to say that DC is where Mitch McConnell -- or at least his mortal coil -- is physically located right now.
Now let's look at the law. Gov. Beshear is not the mayor of DC. As the governor of a state, Gov. Beshear has no federal authority to do anything at all. Gov. Beshear has authority in the state of Kentucky, and only in the state of Kentucky.
Meanwhile, DC is not in Kentucky, which is very probably why McConnell is staying in DC.
To recap: at any point since mid-June, McConnell himself could have put a stop to this circus in a single heartbeat -- but instead of going after him, you're all focusing your anger on the governor of the state of Kentucky who is left as powerless by McConnell to go after him as you are, yet who is still doing everything he can legally do.
Or to put it another way, Gov. Beshear has NOT forgotten who the actual fucking culprit of this scenario is, which is far more than can be said for so many in this thread, lol.
At this point it's going to HAVE to be a closed casket and/or private funeral unless they pumped that body with the most chemicals known to man and put him in a freezer in the arctic.
Also whomever the mortician or whatever is they're probably rolling in the dough right now. probably the best thing that happened in their career.
