The left one goes into the left ovary, the right into the right ovary. S is for "straight ahead".

Seriously, I wanna know. Is it size? Or… flow?

[–] recentSlinky@lemmy.ca 2 points 51 minutes ago

I assume it's for Large, Regular, Small

I don’t know if those things have size… length? Girth? Both?

There are different sizes but they are rated by how much they can absorb, L is light flow, R regular. So it's not really about the size, they'll expand anyways when they soak up the discharge

Confusing that L could be interpreted as Large size and Light flow. Surely you would know what is meant by looking at the packaging (or maybe feeling this particular one). I hope for the person in need of it that they won't have to guess in a case like this.

At least they are not marked as inflammable.

It's a blob of cotton and plastic. It burns pretty well even before you soak it in whiskey.

what's the S someone implied existed elsewhere in the thread?

Depends on the brand but mostly difference in girth aka material to soak up things.

one screws in clockwise and another anticlockwise

I have a wife and can confirm it's the size, i.e. regular or large. If you have a large cooter, then you use the large. Smaller women use the regular or small.

I’m maybe getting whooshed here, but it’s light, regular and super. They are different sizes, but it’s determined by the flow level of the day, not body or vagina size.

So many people will use a combination of absorbency levels over the course of the period. There is also super+ and super++.

Pretty sure it's size from when I've had to buy for my partner, Large and Regular, the colours also differentiate between sizes as seen here.
