I've been referring to him as a 2008 Conservative

Everything Carney is doing makes a lot of sense if you consider he cares deeply about the well being of ~~average~~ wealthy Canadians.

As Cory Doctorow said: I'm a firm believer in Carneyism. I just wish Mark Carney was too.

(The things he says are great. His actions don't always match up to that.)

Based Gilmore.

She's 100% correct here, I've seen it myself in discussions here on Lemmy too. Any criticisms of Carney and his policies are met with accusations of American support by people who appear to view politics like a zero-sum game.

I forgot to mention one of his mps is pushing for surveillance bill c-22.

Mark Carney peaked at 46% of public support. He is pushing for privatization of our airports and Canada Post.

He has went silent on Pharmacare despite it being in his 2025 liberal platform.

He's showing around 70% approval.

Your information might be old.

I'm talking about people who would vote for his liberal party.

[–] dermanus@lemmy.ca 8 points 8 hours ago

Then you should have said the Liberals. Carney is polling better than the party.
