I mean if it’s that easy to lose…
Am in the UK were our system allows for 3rd parties so this isnt as much of an issue here.
To be fair to the communist guy in this cartoon if your trans and your only options are get killed or change nothing while its an easy decisión to make once, make it 5 times and it will kill any love or motivation you have for politics.
You need to move the convo, it cant be do trans people exist it needs to be what rights they are allowed if you DONT argue for that then no rights expand and the argument forever stays there. I mean look at the UK as soon as the center/left party stopped arguing for trans rights out of fear, trans people basiclly lost all progress made...
Also changing perspectives does a lot too.
Blue politician comes up saying they will kill all trans people, but stop the genocide in middle east.
How many trans people would be expected to vote for them? Just willingly put effort into supporting this guy, I am sure the guilt of helping his actions won't haunt you forever.
Now imagine a third party promises everything blue politician does AND doesn't want to kill trans people on top.
And then imagine this same scenario has been continuing for the last 50 years.
To be clear, I would've went blue if I was legally allowed to vote. Still I will not shame people for deciding non-vote. Especially when I could be shaming republicans instead.
