there are only two kinds of political positions: common sense (i.e. agrees with me), and mental illness.

I'm not super hip on the terms... but which one of those little boxes means I can grow a garden fed by the composted corpses of the rich fuckers who think they're better than us while focusing on helping my neighbors?

The creator of this

People putting fascism and Nazism in auth-center understood nothing about these ideologies. They're auth-right all the way.

[–] grrgyle@slrpnk.net 1 points 15 hours ago

It's kind of silly to rank them by which one is "more right" compared to the others, it also doesn't necessarily map on to harms caused.

But yeah that space could at least be empty and shift everything right. Obviously the matrix is bullshit to begin with though

I would like to hear the rationale for putting Buddhist theocracy to the right of Christian theocracy. Not saying it's wrong; I don't know enough about Buddhism to have a stance. But I'm familiar with Christianity and it's hard to imagine anything out-fasching it.

[–] gandalf_der_13te@feddit.org 4 points 1 day ago

"buddhism" is just a term to describe any worldview that comes from south-east asia. there's more variety within buddhism than within christianity, and there you can find a whole lot of disagreements and different ways of life already.

Idk more kinds of Christians maybe? The spectrum is real broad 50k plus completely different sects. Ones like the UCC (United Church of Christ) come to mind as being alright. Still wouldn't want any religion based government system though.

It is the duty of every citizen to go into the vats

[–] fonix232@fedia.io 17 points 1 day ago

Arguably the Fully Automated Luxury Space Gay Communism was much less authoritarian than indicated.

[–] Deme@sopuli.xyz 13 points 1 day ago (2 children)

The post image was way better. Using the political compass unironically is dumb because reducing complex ideologies onto a 2d plane is so insanely reductive that the whole thing is just stupid.

[–] Return_of_Chippy@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Anything written on paper is on a 2d plane.

[–] Viceversa@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago

Listen here you little shit

[–] mika_mika@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

But .ml told me that all forms of liberalism are actually fascism so most of the bottom half should be in authright.

[–] Forester@pawb.social 17 points 1 day ago (1 children)

.ml also tells of how clean and delicious dear leaders farts are

[–] TheLowestStone@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

LIES! Dear leader's body is so clean and efficient that it does not produce farts.

[–] lime@feddit.nu 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

so you're saying neolibs are good boys

[–] Return_of_Chippy@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)
[–] lime@feddit.nu 3 points 1 day ago (2 children)

because they're in the middle, mostly in the bottom of their image, and looking right

[–] Deme@sopuli.xyz 0 points 1 day ago (1 children)

That just depends on how the axes are set. I could see it being the case that the centre is defined by the current status quo, which neoliberalism definitely is.

[–] lime@feddit.nu 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

...neolibs are the square right and down from the center

[–] Deme@sopuli.xyz 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

...and that makes them as close to the centre as any of the other three squares closest to the centre.

[–] lime@feddit.nu 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

yeeeees but the goodboy in the goodboy picture has more of his mass below the horizontal centre line and he is looking towards the right. ergo...

[–] Deme@sopuli.xyz 1 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

Oh, you're talking about the post image and not the one in the comment you replied to.

[–] lime@feddit.nu 1 points 17 hours ago

yeah there arent any goodboy squares on that one.

[–] tetris11@feddit.uk 4 points 1 day ago (2 children)

what's the belief that capitalism can work and can stay aligned with individual freedoms whilst providing a social security net, as long as a strict upper cap on wealth is unrelentingly enforced^[say, by an omniscient omnipresent kill drone], such that the richest person in the world can only be 5x richer than the median person?

[–] snooggums@piefed.world 11 points 1 day ago
[–] Forester@pawb.social 1 points 1 day ago

It sounds mostly like you're describing geoism. The enforcement method is taxes on land. The more land you own, the harder we tax the shit out of you.

[–] MarcomachtKuchen@feddit.org 3 points 1 day ago

You may not like it but that’s how peak democracy looks like

[–] roguetrick@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

My xyphoid process is too thin.
