Russia is having problems supplying itself with diesel due to how many of their refining capacity has been damaged by Ukraine.

The only effect of this will be an attempt to shift blame from Trump for the shortages and high costs of energy onto Ukraine for daring to defend themselves.

Oh good now my money can go towards killing innocent people in 2 different wars.

So we're at the point where Trump is openly and actively undermining US policy again in exchange for Russia to swing the election in his favor. Got it.

Felt pretty open to me since at least 2015.

Arguably 1987.

[–] NekoKoneko@lemmy.world 7 points 2 hours ago

Yeah, I buried my "again" there.

[–] disorderly@lemmy.world 10 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Yeahhh isn't this like double treason or something?

[–] Steve@startrek.website 1 points 23 minutes ago

Sprinkles on a seven layer treason cake

[–] bedwyr@piefed.ca 4 points 49 minutes ago

Some Ukranian drones might have something to say about this.

Ukraine and the Kurds. They fight our wars for us and betrayal is all they get for it. Ukraine should let every Iranian tanker through.

[–] bedwyr@piefed.ca 2 points 47 minutes ago

Ukraine has been killing it!

[–] wirebeads@lemmy.ca 10 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Oh man, guess who’s supplying Putin with bombs to stop Ukraine from bombing Russian oil refineries to protect themselves from Russia?

America is officially a puppet state to Russia, but now with live streaming executions.

[–] lennybird@lemmy.world 4 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

I knew China and North Korea was and that Trump has given total financial lifelines for Russia but what bombs has US given?

[–] halcyoncmdr@piefed.social 4 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago)

What do you think Russia is going to do with the money to buy the fuel?

The US may not be sending bombs directly, but that is 1000% where the money will go. Just because they're not providing the weapons directly, that does not absolve them of involvement.

What are the chances Ukraine strikes Russian diesel reserves now?

[–] bedwyr@piefed.ca 2 points 46 minutes ago

Where are these reserves, and are they susceptible to attack?

It's probably too far underground for wayward drones to take out. There could be other ways though.

[–] ag10n@lemmy.world 6 points 2 hours ago

They don’t strike reserves, they strike refining and delivery infrastructure.

[–] Malica@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 hour ago

I really hope they do

[–] andyburke@fedia.io 4 points 1 hour ago

1M tons of oil were going through Hormuz every day before the big orange boi decided to pop off with no plan.

I am sure this will make a difference. 👍

Performative horseshit instead of governance is the best the GOP can do.

Here's the relevant truth posted about this on Trump's private social media:

https://www.trumpstruth.org/statuses/42215

I have just concluded a highly successful discussion with President Vladimir Putin, of Russia, wherein it was agreed that Russia will immediately supply over 300,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel to the American and Global Marketplace, another 500,000 Tons during the month of November, and 1,000,000 Tons immediately thereafter. Additionally, based on the condition of their Diesel Refineries, Russia will then deliver, within a short period of time, 3,000,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel. Between our TOTAL CONTROL of the Strait of Hormuz, and this great announcement on Russian Energy, Diesel Prices for Americans and, indeed, the World, will be COMING DOWN, IN RECORD NUMBERS, AND FAST! Lower prices for Americans, especially our Great Farmers, Ranchers, and Truckers, is my Greatest Priority. This is a very big and important announcement. Additionally, it must be understood, that Iran will not have a Nuclear Weapon! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP

Everything about this site is disgusting and needs to be burned down.

Edit: we have the evidence. The legislative branch is spineless and the judiciary is out to lunch w the billionaires.

Everything about this site is disgusting and needs to be burned down.

Which site? Truth Social, or the unaffiliated site the commenter above you linked to? trumpstruth.org is a third party site that preserves Trump's posts where they won't get deleted and where people can link without giving traffic/ad revenue to the asshole.

[–] Pomal@sh.itjust.works 0 points 1 hour ago

Yes let’s just give oxygen to the dumpster fire.

And if Dems win a majority of the midterms, boom, Russia cuts off diesel and he will pin the blame on Dems for the fuel crisis. Rural know-it-alls will claim it was "always the Dems' fault since March".
