I'm both and am certainly not succeeding.

Succeed in demonstrating that the “AI era” is a manufactured Wall St sell-side narrative.
It's hyped to all hell, but I think it will ultimately settle down to something used for many things and be mostly just assumed. But I doubt all this spend from hyperscalers will ultimately pay out the way it's being framed.
My guess? Things get scaled down so much that for most purposes, even where you might use a "frontier" model now, you could use a local model and get enough token/sec.
As a paying member of the neurodivergent and since there wont ever be a spokesperson vor even lobby for my group, i'll take it on myself to speak for some of us.
These rotten brains have never stuggled to keep a job because their brain is actively fighting them self all the time. They dont know what it actually means to be neurodivergent.
I'm so tired of these charlatans trying to weaponize neurodivergence.
Its hard to decide who is the biggest moron, Thiel, Musk or Trump.
That'd be Trump. Musk, Karp and Thiel have ratlike cunning, if not brilliant intellect. In this case, Karp is talking shit to deflect from all the evidence that the LLM fad is non-viable.
Amd as for Trump, he's a moron manipulated by some very sinister non-morons.
Also, donnie is definitely the stupidest. He seems to have the vocabulary of a simpleton. I mean, he says things like "we are going to look at that very strongly".
I'm not convinced he's ever read a book cover to cover. I'd love to see him take an IQ test. The only reason we know this guy is because his daddy had a lot of money.
Thiel went to Stanford so I'm pretty sure he's not an idiot. Musk seems to have a rather murkier education record. Not sure about Karp.
It was wild to see how they all panicked after DeepSeek in 2024. Honestly, I think LLMs will continue to have more and more uses and adoption, but I don't know how the math works out for the spend these guys are doing. They surely know that? But maybe they were worried that things like DeepSeek will cause everyone else to notice?
From $60/ M tokens to about $0.10/ M tokens in about six years?

Really wish sociopaths would stop referring to themselves as Neurodivergent . Like it's some excuse for being a selfish greedy narcissist.
That's not what neurodivergent means.
It's almost as if we live in an oppressive dystopia. This world is so fucked.
In order to achieve work security in the nebulous future, i am already learning how to build and operate guillotines.
Enough learning, bout high time for some user acceptance testing.
What an amazing time to be a neurodivergent tradesmen. I'm sure to succeed.
“You’re all going to become obsolete” says man who could be replaced by 200 lines of Python code and a Spirit Halloween wig.
That's the irony, right? So many executives could be replaced with a script and all that wasted capital could go to better uses. I've seen so many execs more or less copy what "everyone else" is doing.
Well, if you are just copying someone else's algorithm, what the fuck do you need all that compensation for?
That's NOT a Spirit Halloween wig?!
Exactly let's replace these garbage rat fucking individuals and their companies with better and go back to how things were before.
Fuck them!!!!!!!!!!!!
If this were true, AI companies would be using their own products in spinoff companies to own every market they could. They would flood the mobile stores with apps that would be generating actual profit.
Wasn't the AI pitch that normies could program now?
AI is simultaneously democratizing the arts, sciences, programming etc.; but also for some reason requires its own skill set, which sometimes even presented as the "more difficult" option, and requires you to start learning it by yesterday. Basically AI vendors and boosters are throwing at the wall everything and try to see what sticks. They even started to engage in some anti-slop posting, that's where the term "flesh-proxy" came from (basically they present the right way of using AI as using it as an editor and/or rewriting the output to "make it yours").
Great. Another rich fucker who thinks he has insight into how world works simply because he has obtained lots of money. I'll listen to elementary school students before the billionaire class, or the epstein class (or maybe they're one and the same).
One key ingredient to being in that class is thinking you are just so smart.
In my career, everyone who takes a careful and humble method never gets too far. They tend to have some staying power if they are good.
People who blindly say stuff they don't know get advanced more quickly. A lot of them have had to look for an exit real quick when their blind BS happens to go wrong, but they manage to grift some other company soon enough.
The picture of success in my company is to become some talking head that never actually does anything or even leads or even say anything specific. One guy has basically spent the last few months repeatedly saying "we need to make sure we adopt AI as it makes sense and everyone has to decide for themselves what that means in their job". Nothing vaguely actionable. Two of them just read prepared statements from marketing in customer meetings, and then just blindly email any questions to "all" to see if anyone has answers. Often for very basic questions on the product, but they have never used or designed a product in years, so they don't even know who to ask anymore. But it's cool, they are pulling probably about 400k/year on the low end.
Every single business leader I've met where I've thought "ok, someone who actually knows how to be a business leader" ends up retiring or getting otherwise pushed out.
I wish these assholes would shut the fuck up. They are always trying to sound profound but it's just stupid shit.
Sooooo most people will be really pissed off and have a shitload of free time?
And maybe going hungry. I'm sure it will spell great things for broligarchs like this guy.
Sounds like we don't need CEOs then!
Keep getting mixed messages from all these assholes. On the one hand, we won't even need money (yeah, like Musk is proposing a system like that - by what mechanism will goods be distributed, hm?). On the other AI may destroy us all, according to Altman.
And this douche is telling people that basically no one will have jobs? Fuck you, pal.
The only system of UBI/not having to work we should support is owning it ourselves as we the people
Not any individual or group having any control of it. Fuck those rats. They are losing and will lose more with each of us that keeps doing. Keep getting more people active to everyone. We are strongest together!!!
Everyone that reads this hop in and let's keep fucking going. Let's reverse their rat fucking future they try to push on all of us
I'm not arguing, I'm genuinely curious: In this mess we have created, how do you see us getting to that point?
“…or you’re neurodivergent.”
So you’re saying there’s a chance?
He means sociopathic, not autistic. Wrong flavour of neuro-spicy.
Well I've never been a unionized worker, but I always saw my neurodivegence as a bonus in my career.
Ah ça ira ça ira ça ira.
