Has he ever said an intelligent thing? "The most uneducated buffoon in history stands at a podium, bloated with self-importance, lips pursed like a carnival barker ready to sell turd milk to the unsuspecting. He grins a grotesque smirk stretched across his face as he scrawls his name onto a hollow decree, a sham celebration of the dismantling of knowledge itself. The Department of Education falls, not with a bang, but with wheezing verbs, suffocated under the weight of his own staggering ignorance. Surrounding him are the usual suspects: cowards in expensive suits, servile sycophants clapping like trained seals, and racist opportunistic ghouls picking clean the bones of democracy. Liars, fools, and thieves all parasites fattening themselves on the hardships of the many. They stand in rigid formation, dead-eyed and soulless, their allegiance sworn not to country, not to principle, but to power, and the dark, festering rot that clings to it. And there he is the convicted wrong, the living embodiment of septic tank spew, his voice a noxious fog of grift and grievance. He lectures the world on right and wrong, irony clawing at the walls, desperate to escape the grotesque theatre of his moral void. The stomach turns, the air curdles, and for a moment, history itself recoils watching, in horror, as the great American experiment teeters on the precipice, led by a man who couldn't spell "precipice" if his life depended on it.’"

Truest thing he ever said

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago (1 children)

As he slides into full dementia he's just saying his internal dialogue out loud? JFC

[–] El_Scapacabra@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 day ago

Yes, and he also realizes he can say the stupidest things and they'd clap.

[–] tidderuuf@lemmy.world 125 points 2 days ago (4 children)

He finally said what we were all saying this entire time. I hope those stupid people could understand what their stupidity has cost this nation.

[–] Soulphite@reddthat.com 89 points 2 days ago (4 children)

He's said in multiple occasions that he loves the poorly educated. Also, smart people don't like him.

Directly calling your supporters stupid and they cheer.

There far too stupud to put that together. They’re like, hate junkies.

[–] Sunflier@lemmy.world 39 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

They’re like, hate junkies.

Hate is the opiate of the masses. Some say it's religion, but that's incorrect. Religion is merely a syringe of choice.

-People who are going to Vote for his JOKING THIRD Term!

[–] El_Scapacabra@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 day ago

"Oh no, he deported my Mexican wife that he joked about deporting!"

[–] Bwaz@lemmy.world 20 points 2 days ago

He DOES say rhe stupidest things, regularly, and they clap.

[–] tea_n_typewriters@lemmy.world 95 points 2 days ago

I’m not a great lip reader, but that woman in red on the back left looks like she says “That’s true” right after he says it.

He’s making fun of you, Barbara.

[–] ikidd@lemmy.dbzer0.com 17 points 2 days ago

I mean, he already does. They're idiots, they'll clap for anything said by anyone as long as they know someone they irrationally hate will suffer.

The really weird bit comes after that statement, where he starts listing things like "tax cuts" as "common sense", but then just starts babbling a random string of numbers.

[–] GuyFawkesV@lemmy.world 22 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Democracy doesn’t work when the base is this dumb. Need to find another way.

[–] thorhop@sopuli.xyz 1 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 18 hours ago)

Democracy is not a nice to have, but a check and a balance on power. The problem is the two party system, that and the fact that money has become a bridge between the separation of powers.

The democrats don't give a damn about democracy either. They inserted Biden into the election without a proper primary (while the republicans were at least doing a show of it), but then realised that he's too old and inserted Kamela as the new candidate with no primary, which shows how they disregard the will of the electorate.

This caused voter disenfranchisement, leading to low voter turnout and handing the election over to Trump. They'll probably do it again, over their stance on Palestine - believe it or not - and it's kind of stupid.

Ironically, this was what the EC was supposed to protect us from.

Just like the time he said "I don't care about you, I only care about your vote."

They are hopeless. Beyond fucking stupid. And what's funny is Dump knows it. He knows no intelligent person likes him--- and that pisses him off because he really wants their respect.

Ha ha loser.

Sometimes I think he hates his supporters more than progressives, leftists, unionists, and bipoc people.

I don't know if that's certifiable, but my gosh does he DESPISE his own people.

[–] Azal@pawb.social 6 points 1 day ago

He does. They're not rich, they can't do anything for him other than vote. Trump doesn't involve himself with anyone who can't give him something.

If they were outside his place asking for anything he'd be the first to call security to get the "undesirables" out.

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Because those unwashed masses cling to him, want to be near him. He can’t stand them because he thinks he’s the smartest person in the room and everyone around him is stupid. He’s classist AF.

[–] Janx@piefed.social 28 points 2 days ago

Yes. As evidenced by the last decade...

[–] thethunderwolf@lemmy.dbzer0.com 24 points 2 days ago

he knows this from experience

[–] WanderWisley@lemmy.world 13 points 2 days ago

Totally not a cult.

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 25 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Mob mentality and groupthink are very powerful. On another note, trump does say the stupidest things.

[–] maxthemummer@lemmus.org 8 points 2 days ago

His one promise he's kept!

[–] socsa@piefed.social 11 points 2 days ago

A rare moment of lucidity

[–] TomMasz@piefed.social 23 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Either they're not actually listening to the words or they are listening and it doesn't matter to them.

I can't decide which is worse.

[–] maxthemummer@lemmus.org 21 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I think it's his tone of voice that matters most to his audience, the words go by too quickly for them to process, much like when you speak to a dog.

[–] meco03211@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago

I have literally said some of the meanest things (I'm willing to say) my dog using a nice voice. She just wags her tail and comes in for snuggles.

[–] MasutaHarada@thelemmy.club 17 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It is fascinating really, what kind of word spouted from trump so his supporter gonna jeer and give middle finger instead?

maybe when he speech about everybody need to be nice to each other ?

[–] johnyreeferseed@lemmy.dbzer0.com 17 points 2 days ago (1 children)

They booed him once. It was during COVID, he had spent the last 6 months calling it fake, but at some point for a brief moment he realized it was serious. He told everyone at his rally they needed to get the vaccine. The crowd turned on him quick.

They really are that dumb

Look at the faces of the fucking morons behind him after he says this.

They'll learn absolutely nothing from this, either.

[–] SendMePhotos@lemmy.world 29 points 2 days ago (10 children)

TL;DR: Taken out of context, but turd is still a turd.

I am anti trump as much as any sane person but I'm also anti propaganda. Although I know nobody is immune to it, I believe it's important to note that context matters.

context matters If you actually listen to it, he's telling the supporters that he's willing to come have a rally in places he's already won because the people are so supportive and there's a lot of love in the community. He then went on to say that he could come out and say the stupidest thing and they'd still cheer him on.

The context is that he was saying the crowds were supportive and loving, not that they were stupid.

[–] artyom@piefed.social 44 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (2 children)

The context is that he was saying the crowds were supportive and loving, not that they were stupid.

I don't think that makes it better...

If you clap at stupid things to be supportive, you're still stupid.

Idk, I feel like anybody who cheers for a specific person, no matter what they say, refusing to think critically or consider disagreeing, is a fucking moron. Even if he didn't mean to directly call them stupid, he's still indirectly calling them stupid imo.

The inverse is also true. I don't automatically disagree with everything trump says just because he's a stupid, hateful, narcissistic fascist. I'm glad he discontinued the penny, is against changing clocks for the DST switches twice a year, and the quick rollout of COVID vaccines was a big win. I can't think of anything else off the top of my head, but it's important to acknowledge good shit even if it comes from a child raping dipshit. I'm not gonna pretend that I like the penny just because an adjudicated rapist dislikes the penny, and I also don't like the pants-shitting fuckface just because we agree that changing clocks is dumb as fuck.

A lot of people liked Kanye's music, and since coming out as an unapologetic Nazi, a lot of those people are not Kanye fans anymore. Those ex-fans adapted in ways that these forever trumpers are incapable of. Because they're fucking stupid.

[–] NocturnalMorning@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago

I'm not seeing how that's not calling them stupid. Not really out of context at all actually.

It's his stand up comic's cadence so that when he delivers a "punch line," they cheer.

Why are we constantly linking to Yahoo’s news wrapper here?

[–] GrumpyGrampa@lemmy.zip 5 points 2 days ago

Hey Trumpy, you never disappoint with your stupid remarks. Even if you think they are smart. Anyone tell ya they are laughing AT YOU, not WITH YOU?

[–] cyberpunk007@lemmy.ca 15 points 2 days ago

You already do and they do, so yeah you're right for once.

[–] Zier@fedia.io 17 points 2 days ago

Spoiler alert, everything that comes out of your mouth is the stupidest. And I would love it if someone would clap you upside your head.
