Sea World is like if aliens confined a human to an office cubicle and called it "City World"

[–] GreenKnight23@lemmy.world 16 points 2 months ago (2 children)

is that an option? what kind of benefits package does it come with? how are the hours and responsibilities?

[–] NateNate60@lemmy.world 10 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Hours are Monday to Friday 00:00 to 23:59. Responsibilities include learning tricks and doing typical lively human activities like Fortnite dances and TikTok challenges. Benefits package includes comprehensive health care, dental, vision, etc. Company-provided room and board for life. No retirement options though.

Mandatory open office hours are between 10:00 and 18:00, when crowds of people pound on the cubicle walls, point and state at you incessantly and make rude comments about your body.

So, it's an average job, but I get a late morning start and the entire work day is only 8 hours...
Stop being a dick and tell me where to send my resume already.

The abused animals are from the sea.

Sad part is this such and old photo. But it’s still a huge problem

[–] prettybunnys@piefed.social 15 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Idk if the picture is as old as the saturation makes it look, the SUV at the intersection behind changes the perspective some

[–] GlitchyDigiBun@lemmy.world 8 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I could buy that it's 2005ish

[–] prettybunnys@piefed.social 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Hell that might be a 2005ish Chevy Trailblazer in the background:

You got me curious so I found a larger version and it does look much more recent here https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EduhLDSWsAABjzB.png

[–] Guitar@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago

It has to be from at least 2012. That's when the Seaworld in the photo opened.

For once, a sign could do with more quotation marks.

Where do they capture the pools? From unsuspecting people’s back yards? Is there a pool farm where pools are bred in captivity? How do they tame the wild pools? So many pool questions.

First time I went to disney world I was 15. I'm 43 and have been there countless times. Not once I went to sea world. At 15 I already knew going there was an asshole move. The type of people that supports sea world is the same that would fight for the right to not use a mask during the pandemic

[–] slaneesh_is_right@lemmy.org 3 points 2 months ago

Disney world, now that's great. Supporting Disney is the way to go.

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago (1 children)

The fact that you drive to Seaworld should tell you all you need to know.

[–] _stranger_@lemmy.world 8 points 2 months ago (1 children)

you can also drive to the ocean.

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

True. Also, parking on a driveway and driving on a parkway.

[–] victorz@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago

Mitch Hedberg? Is that you?

[–] DmMacniel@feddit.org 3 points 2 months ago (2 children)

The only redeeming quality about Sea World is that you can't catch on fire there.
