That's what's wild about this to me - disagreeing about AI usage with someone like Hank Green (and similar public figures) feels so wrong when he and his brother practically saved my ass in highschool w/ Crash Course. But ig none of us are immune to addiction.

Every time I try to give AI a chance (tech troubleshooting, self-therapy, research, literally anything) it is always painfully underwhelming and I get more concerned about the people who latched onto it years ago before it was even half as "good" as it is now.

On the bright side, learning and doing new things has apparently become the Cool and Rebellious thing to do for my youngest sibling and their friends (middle/highschoolers) so maybe there's hope.

Sometimes I think my Hot Topic emo fit is rough and then I go to ren faire and see a goth in 10x as many layers or someone in a full fursuit and I cannot fathom the dedication.
