At the time, she announced she was stepping down from cabinet and would not run as an MP in the next federal election, whenever that may occur.

A few months later, she was named the incoming CEO of the Rhodes Trust, an Oxford, England-based educational charity. Freeland's office confirmed she would move to the United Kingdom for the gig, which starts July 1.

She still represents the Toronto riding of University—Rosedale and has not formally announced any plan to resign as a member of Parliament.

 

Ottawa added four new organizations to the Criminal Code list of terrorist entities:

Maniac Murder Cult.

Terrorgram Collective.

The Islamic State-Mozambique.

Not a big shock - there have been allegations surrounding the guy for years.

It was certainly the case when I was in school, and that was decades ago.

It's the perfect crime! The feds create a problem with a solution that's under provincial jurisdiction...

Yeah, I lucked out in having nothing better to do at the time. I'm not sure if I'll be able to catch all of the rest of the series, but I'm definitely going to keep an eye on it!

I don't really follow baseball at all, and haven't watched any of the playoffs to date. But I did watch this.

I'm not in Alberta, but pay doesn't seem to be the sticking point here - the union is trying to negotiate on class sizes (which AFAIK the province is refusing to even disclose) and classroom supports.

Abuse of the NWS has been progressively normalized over the last few decades, and I think we've reached the breaking point.

I took it from a news article from last week, which suggests pretty strongly that that proposal is exactly what was implemented, and they never produced an updated graphic.

But again, I'd welcome a genuine correction.
