I’m sure they have my face already, I have a drivers license. I struggle to see how they could scan my face without being somewhere in roughly the same physical proximity though

Why would I give in without putting up a fight? Is throwing my hands up and going “oops, no due process, out of luck” going to do me any good? I’m sure they’ll try to do illegal things, but courts do still exist, and I want them to have to fight tooth and nail to be allowed to do what they want

Fucking excuse me? An app is supposed to override my goddamn birth certificate? Absolutely not. In fact, I’ll be damned if I let a cop scan my face without putting up a fight. I’m walking away unless detained, and if I’m detained, I’m not doing a fucking thing until I have my lawyer.

There is nothing that can happen at my job that, if not done quickly, will have a real negative impact on a human being. This does not stop my coworkers from acting like the sky is falling if something is delayed by a few days.

The lines between reality and satire get blurrier by the day

Raw milk should be treated like ice cream - never let it get too warm, unless you’re pasteurizing or boiling it. Jesus Christ, these people.

I have multiple friends with dairy goats, and I end up with milk a lot of the time. They’ve always told me it was raw, and I never was too worried about it, because they’re small operations and I trust their hygiene practices. Hell, I’ve milked the goats myself! And I went on for a few years happily drinking raw milk and making raw goat cheese. And if I ever shared it, I would tell people it was raw, but I never thought much about it.

Somewhere along the way, over the past few years, I noticed that conservatives were getting more and more into raw milk - the same folks who were really into ivermectin and the anti-vax stuff. And you know what I did? I read more about the risks, learned how easy home pasteurization is, and started fucking pasteurizing my milk. It’s not hard, and it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Plus, I want to be the cool friend who knows how to make their own cheese, not the weird conspiracy theorist talking about how they’re oppressed by the FDA.
