My old boss is from Iran. Like, family still lives there. He voted for trump "to unlock the economy". He also laughed at ICE kidnapping people. That fucking moron. That cruel sack of shit. The only way it could be more leopards ate his face is if ICE kidnapped him too.
But he's still chugging along as CEO, living large on his rich father's money and VC capital.

One of the big changes in our society is idiots and assholes can run off to Fox or 4chan or whatever slimy gutter appeals to them, and find their fellow idiots. Fellow idiots and people manipulating them for their own reasons.
It sucks that reasonable people need to spend all this effort to babysit large children, but if we don't then they go shit themselves and vote for trump.
There was a big thread a while ago where one subset of posters were like "you clearly CAN compare them this is stupid" and another subset was saying "but the point of the idiom is doing so is fruitless". Not sure what's so hard to grasp about using an inappropriate metric to judge something.
But then again maybe most people use the idiom in senseless ways.

Most of them won't learn anything. If they were capable of learning, they've had ample time to do so.
It's a shame there isn't more language education in the US. We had one class on a foreign language starting in sixth grade, which is pretty late.
Most things here are mono lingual. I visited Montreal and I feel like if I was there for a few months, my rudimentary French would really develop. Unfortunately, the one time I tried to speak to someone there who didn't speak English, it didn't go super well. She was patient, but we weren't really understanding each other. All my French is reading and writing, so I have an incredibly bad accent.
If they released PC ports of Nintendo games I would play a lot of them.
