Hell, growing up with people telling me not to trust Wikipedia because anyone can put any unverified information on there they like (have they tried?), and only years later seeing them believe anything because it was posted on Facebook…

I think that's underselling it, severely. I have no idea what would win the YouTube algorithm, many people try and don't get a fraction as close to Mr. Beast. Clearly, he has the creativity to come up with incredibly successful video ideas, initially even all by himself! Even he they're not my style, and I personally dislike his videos, brand and the guy's own personality, I do have to recognise he has this from of creativity and a lot of it.
