Flock Safety announced a voluntary employee separation program on Friday, offering a “generous” severance package to those who want to leave amid growing backlash against the surveillance technology company, according to an internal email shared with WIRED.

Applications for Flock’s voluntary severance program opened Friday, and employees have until October 2 to decide whether to leave the company. Flock expects to grant buyouts to the majority of workers who apply, according to the email. People familiar with the program but not authorized to discuss it publicly say they believe that a significant number of the startup’s roughly 1,500 employees may try to depart.

Flock is making the severance offers as it continues to lose customers amid growing frustration across the US about its sprawling network of license plate readers, which have raised concerns about privacy and misuse. In the last month, WIRED has documented officers allegedly abusing Flock to track former romantic partners and colleagues, exposed how widely some agencies share access to the system, shown how little is known about the manufacturing of the devices, and revealed in new detail how much information Flock’s cameras collect based on data from a dismantled Flock device.

Canada has decided to join the Global Combat Air Program, a joint initiative by Japan, Britain and Italy to develop a next-generation fighter jet, becoming the program’s first observer.

Canada is weighing the future purchase of the aircraft, while the three partner countries are seeking to broaden potential export markets and strengthen cooperation among like-minded nations.

Other countries are also believed to be interested in GCAP, raising the prospect of wider participation in the coming years.

Observers will neither participate directly in the joint development process nor contribute financially to the program. Although subject to confidentiality requirements, they will be granted access to information on such matters as the fighter’s capabilities and the corporate framework underpinning its development.

Canada’s observer status is intended to pave the way for the possible future purchase of the aircraft. For Japan, Britain and Italy, expanding exports to third countries would help offset the program’s enormous development costs.

The pedocracy is still bullying us, so it's time for another protest. Sunday September 20 at all locations, ideally the busier ones should be prioritized.

This will never be the 51st, 52nd, or any number US state. NEVER EVER.

If I had the money, I'd make one of those giant billboard-y signs, the kind you see US lawmakers hold up with big graphics on them, with have the infamous pic of Trump with Epstein, or maybe a sign that reads "How are things in our future 11th province?" Bullhorns are a great idea too. Just sayin'.

Remember to be safe. Americans all have the right to a gun, and while they can't be bothered to use that right to put an end to the dictatorship, you can sure as shit bet they're dumb enough to carry them over the border, and unless the border guards catch them, they could potentially bring them here. I don't know how guns work at the border but plenty of people get let through without them really checking anything. Who knows how many Americans have come and gone with guns without anyone knowing? My point is, show them your anger, but don't give them reason to attack. We know the Americans will do plenty of attacking without reason.

Anyway, it seems like most Americans are fed up with their president and the monsters who prop him up. But not enough to actually put a stop to it. They all have guns, what are they waiting for? It pisses me off. Let's let them know what a bad job they're doing at doing ANYTHING to stop it. Before they make their way into Canada to take up all the parking spaces at Swiss Chalet, give 'em a little reminder how pissed off we are at the way they voted, and how they're all just going about their days and visiting us as if we're still allies, instead of rising up against the regime.

I will not tolerate annexation threats from the United States and I will continue pushing for people to protest until they have fully retreated and conceded. If the Americans truly are against their current regime, wouldn't they be doing more about it? I know I would be.

tl;dr next protest is Sunday at the border and I'm still pissed off at America's bullshit.
