Hey everyone,

We've built an open-source, privacy-preserving alternative to Ring cameras using a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W (called Secluso). It uses end-to-end encryption to send videos from the camera to a mobile app, which is available both in Google Play Store and Apple App Store. We also support Obtainium for people that do not wish to use Google Play.

We've put in a lot of effort to make it easy to set up! You can set up our camera on your own Pi in less than 5 minutes with minimal technical expertise using our easy-to-use GUI deploy tool. Here are our setup guide and open source release.

The image shows a Pi in an official Raspberry Pi enclosure that you can use for your camera. We've also been working on a HAT for the Pi to add night vision, audio, temperature monitoring for safety, all in a compact form factor. You can see the HAT and an enclosure for the whole camera in the photo.

We've been working on this for almost 2 years now, and we look forward to we look forward to seeing what you all think! If you're interested in our efforts in general outside of DIY, our main website with our pre-built offering is here: click to see our website

The lenders have benefited from “a positive halo effect” from a “resource-rich economy, pro-business Carney government,” Bank of America analyst Ebrahim H. Poonawala said in a note. Those factors encouraged investors to look past Canada’s challenged job and housing markets, as well as uncertainty over the coming renegotiation of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, he added.

Democrats are poised to finish several seats behind Republicans in 2026 in the nationwide race to redraw maps for the U.S. House.

They can catch up in 2028, but only if they overcome a series of redistricting hurdles that the GOP does not face.

That’s because Democrats, in many states, can draw partisan political lines only if they evade constraints — some self-imposed — on their ability to counterpunch.

WhatsApp is widely marketed as a secure messaging service that uses end-to-end encryption. This means only the sender and recipient can access the contents of messages, not even the platform itself. These representations have led millions of users to believe their communications are fully private and inaccessible to third parties.

However, investigations and insider accounts have shown those claims to be blatantly inaccurate. Reports suggest that employees of WhatsApp have been able to access user communications. Additional reporting and investigations indicate that message content can be pulled and viewed after the message has been sent. This is a complete and total misrepresentation of Meta’s privacy policies.

Why did the U.S. Senate strike its tent last week and go home early? Because in spite of a June 1 deadline set by President Trump, Senate Republican leaders were not ready to restore funding for two key components of the Department of Homeland Security.

We have reached the point where the phrase "homeland security" swiftly translates to political insecurity, and that brings the legislative machinery in Congress to a halt as the midterm elections loom.

Anyone following the president's second term thus far will not be surprised that the latest DHS freeze-up concerns the Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Want to see the earliest resident monitors? The ancestor of all modern OSes (CTSS)? The earliest versions of Unix? The first OS with a desktop metaphor GUI (Xerox Star Pilot/ViewPoint)? Early versions of mainstream OSes? If you want to explore historical OSes and platforms without having to worry about configuring/installing emulators and OSes or corrupting emulated installations, you’ve come to the right place.

Just about every well-known OS and platform (and also a lot of obscure ones) is included in some form, spanning the entire history of stored-program computing from the Manchester Baby of 1948 (the first stored-program computer) to the present day.
