That's because they're liars. You don't want to repeat their lies, it will make them stronger and make you and I weaker.
Oh, they were just liars. Got it. Leftists absolved. They were being astroturfed and not a single true leftist was willing to speak out against the astroturfers.
I'm an anarcho-antireal-communist. An off compass leftist, according to many. And I think the neutral voters who didn't vote, or who spent so much effort amplifying a nuanceless message of hate against the Democrats, are fascism enablers.
Actions speak louder than words, and words speak louder than identities. If someone is a leftist in their heart of hearts, but has been manipulated into spreading propaganda that helps fascists, then they are not a leftist. Hearts of hearts don't matter.
If someone votes left, campaigns left, protests left, and directly acts left, then they are leftists. You won't catch these neutral voting centrists who identify as leftists doing any of that. You'll catch them acting centrist.
You're further left than they are, even if you're a silly goose capitalist.
