The alternative is that you:
A) Don't buy stuff online needlessly.
B) When you have to buy stuff online, you pay for delivery.
It is impossible to needlessly buy anything at my income level. Having to budget for al a cart delivery would put most items out of budget. I'm 30 miles from anything that isn't a Walmart. I'm not looking for buy nothing strategies. I'm not looking for "just pay shipping". I'm looking for an Amazon like alternative that will deliver most of the things I need at a lowish price without burning two gallons of fuel.
