You don't get billionaires by practicing controlled capitalism. A billionaire is about as far from small market capitalism as you can get. We are talking massive concentration of wealth and power. Hence the unfettered capitalism. While the state does take a cut of profits from every corporation it does not micro management them.

As we see the wealth gap grow with billionaire and upper class mobilization, it creates a very obvious two tired society. Tying to say they are practicing socialism in a literal sense is pretty ridiculous.

Their may be some socialist aspects specifically with universal medical coverage, but the devil is always in the details with substandard medical delivered to rural areas and far better care delivered to the urban caste.

China is one party oligarchy with a side of authoritarianism. They are open about their one party rule and taking a cut of all business profit so denying the oligarchy is fucking silly.

For the Authoritarian part well the executions and extreme surveillance society wrap that up in a neat little bow. If you don't believe me just asks the Muslim population they are so desperately trying to erase or their actions in Tibet as well as musings of preventing Taiwan independence. All signs point to tight authoritarian control of all aspects of society including religious worship.

China exports drones, missiles, and fighter jets to over 40 countries, with key customers including Pakistan, Myanmar, Nigeria, and Algeria. If you are playing stupid, It is working.

The fact that you say Chinese citizens support their government when opposition is not allowed is absolutely tone deaf and hilarious at the same time.
