The anti Newsom rhetoric is interesting in this comment thread...

Hitler isn't Trump either. What's your point?

Gavin "What's AIPAC?" Newsom can fuck the hell off. Along with mass murderin' Dubbya.

It’s strange how people label past presidents as “mass murderers,” when nearly every president since Jimmy Carter has authorized major military action in the Middle East. That includes Obama, who even received the Nobel Peace Prize. I’m not defending those decisions, but the inconsistency is obvious.

The reality is, the candidates I’d actually want don’t stand a chance. Sanders tried and failed, and others like AOC aren’t even running. I’m not voting for someone like JD Vance either.

At this point, the system feels like a team sport. Most people vote along party lines, not on policy. And in the end, we’re usually choosing between two candidates already approved by their parties.

So my vote isn’t about idealism. It’s strategic. I’ll vote for Newsom, because voting for a third-party candidate risks splitting the vote and increasing the chances of someone like Trump getting back into office and that’s an outcome I want to avoid.
