I was gonna hammer something similar out as a comment when I saw their comment in my notifications this morning but then saw yours. Thank you for jumping in with your reply.

Too many people let perfect be the enemy of better. Democrats aren't perfect, but they are objectively better than the republicans.

And if we want better candidates (which we do) we need to participate in local elections and push for better candidates. My local congressional rep has been turning out to be a shit ton like Kyrsten Sinema and right now there's a decent amount of people locally getting support for someone further left to replace them. When my local rep was elected they were the best candidate, now we're trying to get a better person in.

Local political participation is important.
