Perhaps, but one of them has no shame, and the other has no spine. And Democrats still need to pretend they oppose Republicans.
Both parties should ultimately be removed, and the US should adopt a parliamentary system instead of the current one (that is arguably worse than a parliamentary monarchy such as the one in the UK), and this probably can't be achieved through voting alone... but removing Republicans from office so that they can't actively make things worse seems like a big step to achieving this to me.
