As an outsider i think if the democratic party was functional Trump would never have gotten into the white house. Not blaming them (who am I to blame them anyway), but if one of the two parties in a two-party system was much more functional than the the other, it could quite easily convince a majority to not vote for the lunatic that is the other option. Feel free to downvote me, but the US imo has 2 shipwrecks 'leading' the country.
