I swear every time I hear the argument it's from a right winger with no thinking ability whatsoever.

It always goes like this.

Them: violence is wrong! It's never the answer. Me: so what about Ukraine? Should they simply let Russia take whatever? Them: They should sort it out diplomatically, of course.

I mean at this point the only viable solution is diplomacy. Europe didn't do enough to prevent the war, and then didn't do enough to punish Russia in the early stages of the war (no air support, slow deliveries). The frontlines haven't been moving meaningfully for years.

So, at this point we either send soldiers to retake territory occupied by Russia, or we help negotiate a settlement. There's absolutely no appetite for sending European soldiers.
