He was going to drain the swamp. He was going to stop insider trading. He was going to stop foreign involvement. He was an outsider. A rebel. He wanted to run independent but could only win as a republican. I never thought he would actually win. I think there were a lot of people like me who thought it would be funny. In hindsight, it wasn't really funny and he didnt actually do any of that stuff he said. And then people voted for him again, and then when he lost he ran again and won!??!?

I'm not going to disparage you for voting for him once. You seem to have some humility and realize it was a mistake. If we're ever going to get out of this we have to make allies, and build community, which I think we are sorely lacking.
