I know being a cynic is very popular in the under 15 set, but let’s not pretend what we’re seeing now is business as usual.
Hahaha - I’m the other end of the Lemmy age spectrum, unfortunately I’m old enough to have seen a number of right wing governments remove rights and freedoms, and successive ‘left wing’ governments do nothing to restore them because they are empowered by the same handful of people.
We are in the new age of the Robber Barons, we just call them Tech Billionaires this time.
The sooner the world realises we need to redress the balance the better, until then it will be business as usual.
