Keep in mind his "Look forward, Not Back" attitude when confronted with torture and other criminality from the W crowd likely emboldened the current pack of degenerates and directly led to today's events. "Hey the spineless Weimarcrats wouldn't even go after them with evidence of torture...we can do whatever we want!" That being said he was light years better than the pedophile in office currently.
Yeah there's a direct line from obama acting like we didn't need to hold anyone accountable to trump not being held accountable today.
I feel like that line kinda started when Ford pardoned Nixon. That began a longstanding tradition of not holding politicians to account for their actions while in office, which has since been emboldened by subsequent presidents and now the Supreme Court’s ruling on official presidential acts.
