To be fair, the GOP promised a lot of things. "Nothing bad can happen, it can only good happen."
And "no more wars" was one of those things... as well as ending all the active ones (if I remember it right, literally all, not just the US ones).

now there’s just military actions
US hasn't fought a war since 1945.
