The "all options are bad" voter discouragement has ramped back up for a while now. But also interesting is the absence of another kind of anti-democracy discourse: where are the "vote 3rd party" stooges that always become active before USA presidential elections?
If the stooges aren't promoting 3rd party voting now, then does that mean that 3rd party voting is not actually a bad thing during USA congressional elections? I mean, if it were bad for democracy in the USA, then I'd expect the authoritarian bootlickers to be promoting it now as well. But it's also possible that they are and that I'm just not watching the right places, since I don't follow any state specific discussion forums.
There isn't a single third party that is running candidates in a significant number of states, so it's harder to make sound bites. You can't just be like "vote green party or you hate the environment!" When many states don't have a green party.
Go to any left wing space and they'll never shut up about doing practice and that involves joining and supporting left wing parties.
It's a 4yr, pres cycle gig. Part of the problem
The third-party stooges are used when it's going to be close, to dilute the winning side. Also, this is a mid-term, so there's less of that there.
