In addition, I'd like to propose we come up with another name for them because... this is what we're calling "elite"?
Yeah, calling them elite implies meritocracy. I've spent a fair amount of time among the social elite and people who are the best in their field. Unsurprisingly, the groups only overlap for work purposes.
