This is how I feel sometimes when looking at my library of unfinished games.

I lament that I don't play through as many games as I used to, and that I've ended up with such a backlog. But then when I do have the time, I end up just staring blankly at my list before deciding prematurely that I'm not in the right mindset to enjoy any of them, or that it's been too long and I'd have to relearn too much. And then I just go back to doomscrolling or watching Twitch streams of people having more fun than I am.

i can relate pretty hard to this, there are too many games I'd like to play, but:

  1. I am not very good, so it takes me a long time to finish them and

  2. I will not play them unless I am in the right mindset - as in, I follow the dopamine

Oh well, life's about living. At least it means I'll never run out of good games to play!

I look at my list of games, go "oh this one's broken after an update, this one needs a patch I'm too lazy to install, this one will fight me because it's anticheat thinks my browser is a threat" and pick one of the same 2 games that I still (thankfully) enjoy.

Also being in the right mindset is a thing, sometimes watching stuff is more distracting/fun, while games need at least some brainpower which you might not wanna expend rn.
