Like asking for a bandaid. Everyone knows what you mean, and asking for one and getting a generic bandage isn't going to matter.

Yet if you guessed bandage, that’s not an actual bandage is it? From the other comments, I’ve learned it’s a ‘plaster’ or adhesive dressing.
I think, I saw it in some movie or heard about it already, so I am not representative of this. If you guessed a different thing, I was wrong and it can't be inferred, as in the same way a seller may guess wrong
