Same billionaire owners, same entrenching of corruption, same imperialist agenda, same pro-genocide policies, same presidential names in the Epstein files. Both parties strengthen capitalist exploitation and maintain white supremacist, imperialist patriarchy.
At the core of it, the Democratic party is a tool for the Epstein class and a highly effective mask. Having a token liberal social policy lends legitimacy to a corrupt system, deflates pressure to change, and maintains billionaire control, while serving nothing of value to working people and leaving capitalism unchallenged.
Seriously: fuck your party. Why should working people get in line and vote for you? They continue to not show up because they are disenfranchised as a foregone conclusion before they walk into the voting booth.

People complain about moderates thinking both sides are equally good but then act like they are politically enlightened when they say both sides are bad.

So no, I'm not some head in the sand die hard Democrat. I don't think they exist, much less on Lemmy. I'm not suddenly surprised that both sides are corrupt. But I'm not so blind that I'm going to just let Republicans roll into office without some sort of fight and the wet noodle that's the Democrats is what we've got.
You want better? Vote in the primaries, focus on local shit people ignore, and if you want to actually put your money where your mouth is, YOU run for office and actually take some power into your own hands.
Brother no one is saying to not vote. Why do you people always say that same bullshit line when it was never stated at all? We are still voting, but we’re also constantly trying to sound the alarm on the bullshit system we have all year long, not just around voting time. Liberals only seem to get in tune with politics around midterms, primaries and the presidential election. Leftists are out here constantly in tune with politics and are trying to organize year round, not just around voting schedules.
If you can’t make an argument without putting words in other people’s mouths and making shit up, quit commenting like you’re some enlightened individual.
We’re not telling people not to vote, we’re telling you to get politically active throughout the entire year, every year. Because this same bullshit will keep happening until the end of time if all you do is vote when you’re told to. Quit punching at leftists for calling out the systems we’re living under as unjust and start organizing with us to build a better system.

Oh hey funny you mention organizing, that's what I've been doing locally. I'm working with a group trying to improve things between Hispanic and non Hispanic people and actively doing stuff to help the community with ICE everywhere. I'd love to hear what you've been up to!
