Because when you are losing a war, the sort of facial hair you have really matters. Reality doesn't back them up, so they have to go for crass appearance. Not "weak" my ass.
Also trans women -- notoriously amazing tech skills
From memory the facial hair things isn't really about appearance but a way to kick poc out.
The facial hair thing started before they really let African people into the army as a way to ensure a good gas mask seal during WW1. I think it's a dumb rule enforced only for some amorphous idea of "discipline" nowadays, though.
But gas masks are still a thing in the military.
I don't understand how ? can you elaborate ?
