Remember this every time you consider being polite to a conservative instead of treating them the way they deserve.
I mean at this point they are supporting a convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, probable pedophile and insurrectionist traitor that just joked about Iran destroying two of America's largest cities because they vote blue.
Conservatives should be treated like traitors, because they are. They have made it very clear they are America's enemy.

At least some of them just come out and admit they want death. Your sophistry does not grant any moral high ground. What you are saying is that you more death, that those you judge must die. It is a direct reflection of the ideology you are trying to oppose. An equal and opposite reaction that only perpetuates a cycle.

I don't care if you think I'm pretty. The change I want is every maga turd in this country in the ground. They abandoned the social contract, not me. You don't get to abide by it only when it benefits you.
No one is talking about whether or not you are pretty, that's a deflection from the obvious ugliness of watching someone die. The change you express a desire for here would be more clearly stated as mass death. We only control our own actions, I can only hope that those you would take in reality are kinder.

You're literally advocating to inflict suffering and telling me to fuck off for promoting not even "tolerance" but basic empathy and shared humanity. It doesn't feel particularly kind, and it's deeply frustrating to watch someone perpetuate exactly what's been inflicted on them. Suffering in no way eases suffering. Empathy does.

They don't have to be this way, they chose it and have continued to double down as things have gotten worse. It's not just "different political beliefs" or being misguided anymore and hasn't been for a long time. They are evil and they're not going to change their ways. Fuck them and again fuck you for empathizing with them. Empathize with their victims if you want to empathize with someone so bad. Being kind to Nazis doesn't make you a good person.
You don't have to be this way either. I don't see empathy as a burden or gift to be given, I see it as a source of strength. It expands your sense of self and defines emotional strength. It heals the self, other, and whole. Kindness is a reward in and of itself. I hope there is enough in your life to share.
How exactly is rolling over for fascists a source of strength? If we do not stand up to these people and put them back in their place things are going to continue to get worse. Kindness won't change anything because they are fundamentally screwed up individuals, they see it as weakness and an opportunity to take more from you. That's all it is to them. There's no appreciation, or self reflection about how they should be better people. They like the way they are and think things are going great because the people they hate are being hurt and they don't have to hide what they are anymore. You're spouting off empty platitudes because you're either a hateful fuck yourself trying to pose as a moral bystander online or you're just fucking delusional.
Then you have a good life extending empathy to people who want you fucking dead for the way you think and live your life.
If you're still giving the benefit of the doubt to conservatives, you have learned NOTHING and deserve to be taken advantage of by the worst our society has to offer.

It sound like YOU have a Nazi living in your heart with how hard you are trying to defend them in this thread.
Think the point of the song is that we all do, and acknowledging and attempting to transcend that is crucial to being "good". It's being very clearly demonstrated here that with enough fear and enough hurt many otherwise normal people will resort to paying forward the bigotry and violence inflicted on them. Can you point to where I have in any way defended nazis, rather than advocating against the very behaviors that make their "movement" so reprehensible?

I'm upset that people hate, period, and don't believe a reasonable person could actually see anything I've said as supporting fascism in any way. You're directly advocating for that same ideology with a different target, and insinuating I must be one of Them for having a problem with it.

Yeah, but not exclusively! Even there tolerance is framed as an ideal, and rationale as the primary defense against intolerance. It's also about how to handle movements in a society, not who to call help for. Have you ever studied the Wheel of Samsara?
