I'm actually quite happy they're doing this. Same as with the destruction of the White House. The more public atrocities they do, the more you can point to it later and ask if this is what we want again, and hopefully arrive to a more civilized conclusion.
I hope you are right. But if you look at the holocaust and all its proof you can see that we're still getting closer and closer to it.
The problem I see is that MAGA, rather than being an anomaly, is just the latest manifestation of our decades long descent into barbarism.
I'm sorry but I hate this idea.
We have no descended into barbarism. We've always been here. Either rounding up a demographic to imprison, murdering and torturing people while justifying it or stealing and looting the hard work of regular citizens.
There's only ever been a class war
Well, yes. The oligarchs of the US have systematically been dismantling the education, social security, public services and other systems that have helped to keep them in check. One can hope that this time the consequences are so dramatic and so visible that even decades from now people can point back and ask each other if this is what they want again.
