Expect local Republicans to rapidly shove through legislation weakening the governorship and other state-level positions won by Democrats before they can take office. They've done so in the past.

Don't worry the year after will also be brutal. Governmental gridlock is going to be legendary. A improvement to be sure, but OH BOY. This is going to be a shit show.
