Edit: To those downvoting I ask you - are there better people to be promoting for this topic than some washed actor? Harrison Ford is great I'm sure but he's just some fuckin rich dude. Why not push the words of international authoritative voices instead?
Actor says the same thing climate scientists have been saying for decades
"why should I listen to this nobody that was in several globally famous movies that are still popular to this day?"
I just dont know why him saying something should sway me. What about him gives him any authority to convince people the experts already haven't?
If the headline was from a scientist, do you think it would have made it to as many feeds? Why are we discussing this right now?

Yes and yes. Would you please answer my questions because it seems like you don't understand my point.
No I understand your point where you believe celebrities are a better vehicle for getting people interested in something than a scientist don't worry.

It might matter from the perspective of who Trump pays attention to. There are a lot of celebrities that he feels like he needs to respond to, whether it's Rosie O'Donnell, Taylor Swift, etc. He pays attention to them much more than he pays attention to international authoritative voices, and I expect that Han Solo recognizes this too.
