Can we please for the love of God have a judge actually enforce their order for once? He has shown over and over that he's just going to do what he wants. The rest of us would have to sleep on a jail bench for a few days then still be forced to comply.
That’s the problem with the separation of powers… The executive branch is supposed to be the one that enforces the laws… The judicial branch has very little power to actually enforce their rulings. And Trump is the head of the executive branch.
I'm not sure on the legal veracity but I read somewhere after one of his MANY ignored court orders that the Marshals might have the ability to enforce it somehow
They might. We never seem to know for sure how our own laws work, but it is a distinct possibility.
Trump doesn't personally fill the SNAP accounts, and Trump doesn't personally manage the money.
Start charging the employees with violating court orders.
That's what happens when the Supreme Court decides that when the president does it, it's not illegal. He does what he wants because the Republican justices decided that The President is above the law. There literally isn't any legal way for a judge to enforce their orders over Trump.
"Hey, guys that work for Trump, punish Trump!"
You can see why it doesn't work so well.
Judges don't work for Trump at least legally speaking.
No, the judges are asking the Executive branch (which Trump is the head of) to do the enforcing. The judges don't have an enforcement arm.
