Time was we would kill traitors. If this is treason, then we should kill him. One person is closer than anyone else to him right now. They could stop all of this.
Nobody in US political leadership wants to set the precedent of facing legal consequences for their actions while in power.
Sounds like First-past-the-post voting doesn't represent the people accurately.

Electoral methods are important and FPTP is an atrociously bad method for a representative election, but the US is beyond that. You can't vote away this level of corruption without first wielding real worker power outside of the electoral system. Reform is a last resort for the corrupt.
