For real, I noticed that too. I think there's also a bit of a thing with fascism over the Brazilian, since Vargas' Brazil was the most prominent fascist nation outside Europe.

Was it really though? Seems like a bit of a stretch... But ok.

Maybe the japanese empire (before ww2), or the south african apartheid regime, but vargas?

Brazil did have the integralist party which was the largest fascist-like movement outside europe, but vargas didnt really go along with them.

I'm gonna be honest, I'm not a huge Brazil expert. I had thought Vargas was close allies with the integralist party and even sort of it's figure head through much of the rise of fascism.

Yeah. There are a LOT of ways that can go but all I remember of Mati was that he was ambiguously brown and kind of a hodge podge of different cultures and backgrounds (wiki says he is officially "South Native American")
