NWS has largely lost the ability to do that. The NOAA data just isn't there thanks to DOGE tearing the agency to shreds.
Perhaps my 11 years there were actually shitposting the seeds of AI’s eventually demise.
Umm ... the National Weather Service can't "just look it up", they are who gathers the data and creates the forecast in the first place.
This is the natural result of training the ai on Reddit posts
