He did, tho? Even the dude who had to enact his punishment was like "but he didn't break the law. I'll let you all decide: Do we crucify this jewish dude who did nothing wrong or do we crucify this known murderer?" And the crowd chose the innocent jewish man.
Maybe that‘s kinda the point? This is feels before reals. The lady shot in Minnesota was trying to leave as instructed (among conflicting orders) but got shot anyway. Point being compliance doesn‘t matter, they‘re killing you anyway.
