But what if a bunch of defense contractors made a ton of money huh? Didn't think of that did you?
Two economists are walking through a park. The first economist points at a pile of dog shit and says "I'll give you $100 to eat that", the second economist eats it and takes the $100.
A few minutes later the second economist points at another pile of dog shit and says "I'll give you $100 if you eat that", the first economist eats it and takes the $100.
Sometime later the first economist says "hang on, I think we both just ate shit for nothing", the second one replies "not at all, we added $200 to GDP!"

This is different because a corrupt president (and his vice president) started a war to k give taxpayer (and future taxpayers’ money) to defense contractors and their billionaire owners.
Yeah. They literally steal public money to enrich their cronies. It's been a kleptocracy the entire time.
I did try to rewrite it slightly to fit the actual situation, but couldn't make it work.
