Listening to you try to justify warehousing your kids is interesting. It makes me grateful that me and my wife sacrificed so we could raise our own children. Demonize!? Lol, no just judging you in a lesson on othering. It is sobering to hear you other your own family though.
Frankly, saying you can't raise a family on 100k without asking for handouts is the very definition of privilege. I suppose I don't know where they live, but unless it is a very expensive place I have a hard time understanding how they struggle. Of course I was raised by a single mother so I know what it is like to eat ramen for every meal and live in substandard housing.
In case you didn't notice the US is fucked but it is mostly the fault of the "fiscal conservatives" who love to run up the debt while pretending it is the progressives fault. If you have a solution to this problem besides austerity I am all ears.
The reality is the US is an empire in decline and the moment the dollar stops being the primary reserve currency the entire system will crash just as it has several times in history (Spain, Dutch, and English most recently).
I didn't demand anything and if I did I certainly wouldn't waste time talking about it with a conservative.
Sigh. I came to Lemmy thinking it was small enough to be populated with real people who would have real policy discussions. But I see now that I've just been taken in by a troll. Kudos to you. You seem like a real person and not a bot, so I hope you enjoy the descent into chaos you have spurned.
I will pass on the policy discussion you started involving making up things I said. To be frank, you have handled yourself like an idiot. You could have easily summarized your position as, "I hate kept women." Good for you I guess.
You are definitely the problem and not the solution. You will never be able to go anywhere to solve the problem because you are it.
