- Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. - No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. - Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

Maga was spreading the news that the shooter was a liberal within minutes. The vast majority will believe that they're under attack by liberals despite any news or facts to the contrary. Anything else will be viewed as another conspiracy.
Reality is not a place where Maga and Fox News live.
The shooter could be a live long Republican with the parents, spouse, and kids all being Republicans. They could have the dog trained to attack minorities and they could be someone that was very publicly vocal about every and all Republican talking points.
But they'd find a single photo where they are wearing a blue shirt and say they've secretly been a Democrat all their life.
I'm aware they'll lie about. Just saying we shouldn't boost that narrative. Not while no one knows who did this
Even if it turns out to be a liberal, that'd make what, 1 in 10 shooters being on the left? 1 in 100? It's clearly a lefty gun epidemic. If only Republicans could read... Also, no one will ever be caught for this one. That way they can speculate to high heaven and never be wrong.
If it doesn't matter if the shooter is conservative, it doesn't matter if the shooter is progressive.
We need to stop making things matter when they don't. Who cares what the shooter was. They never do.
